Nashua Dog Park Rules & Regulations Updated 02/28/2019
Nashua Dog Park Members assume all risks associated with the use of the Nashua Dog Park, as a condition of their membership.
DOGS:
Must be owned and properly registered by a Nashua Dog Park member, be at least 16 weeks of age, properly licensed, vaccinated, healthy (no contagious conditions or diseases) and parasite free.
Must wear a permanent ID or collar tag.
Must be leashed upon entry and exit of the park, as per City of Nashua, NH ordinance.
Must have leashes removed only in designated "unleash" area.
Must remain unleashed until such time as to exit the park property.
Must wear a flat buckle/snap collar at all times while inside the park. Martingale/prong/choke collars and/or harnesses are not allowed inside the park.
Female dogs in heat or dogs that are sick (contagious) are not permitted inside the park. It is recommended that dogs be spayed or neutered.
Exhibiting hostile behavior toward other dogs or people must be removed from the park immediately.
Must not harm wildlife or materially alter the premises - no digging and/or chewing of trees, etc.
OWNERS / MEMBERS:
Must be 18 years of age or older and remain within the park, with their dog(s), at all times.
Must closely supervise children under 18 years of age; and must be within reach of the child at all times. They are responsible for the actions and safety of children in their care. Children must not be permitted to run, shout, scream wave their arms and/or otherwise excite and/or antagonize dogs in the park.
Children under 12 years of age are not permitted inside the dog park.(Effective January 1, 2020)
Are solely responsible for injuries and/or damage caused by their dog(s).
Must check that gates are locked behind them. Owners shall not provide access or open gates for others.
Will be allowed park access utilizing an electronic access card.
Shall have no more than three (3) dogs in the park at any one time.
Must have a leash(s) with them, for each of their dogs, at all times; retractable leads are not allowed.
Must maintain dogs within their sight and/or voice range. Every dog must be supervised as s/he moves around the park.
Must pick up and properly dispose of their dog's waste. Refer to PooPrints fine structure.
Must train and/or treat only their own dog(s); only dog treats are allowed in the park.
May bring balls and/or frisbees into the park provided they are removed upon exit. If a toy becomes an issue, it must be immediately removed.
No food, smoking, alcoholic beverages, glass containers, bicycles, strollers, children's toys or non-canine animals are allowed in the park.
May not solicit members or guests of the Nashua Dog Park at any time.
Should park rules be violated or a disturbance created, offenders will be asked to leave the park. These rules and regulations may be amended, from time to time by the Nashua Dog Owners Group, Inc.
PooPrints™ Program Any member who fails to pick up and remove their dog(s) waste is subject to a fine, upon a PooPrints DNA match, for each offense. Memberships with more than three offenses shall be subject to review.
Failure to follow park rules may result in the loss of park privileges and/or Nashua Dog Park membership.
